The Imperfection of God
It’s totally understandable why people think of God as a ‘perfect’ being or presence because this
distinguishes and separates God from the people. Religious inspired teachings of all faiths point to
this perfection in the form of a personal deity or omnipresent intelligence.
Mankind reasons from its almost uncontrollable, unloving behaviour that Man and God must be separate
identities and that God could not be involved in the wretched behaviour of Man. There are also those
who believe that Man’s imperfection is illusionary and that we are really perfect beings in the eyes
of the perfect presence.
Whatever your beliefs let’s not lose sight of a few facts:
1. According to verifiable science – every form is made of ENERGY, including you and I. Energy in its
lowest (slowest) form it ‘appears’ solid and in its highest (fastest) form it is pure consciousness
(awakened thought).
2. Whichever way you look at it God has to be either the Creator of this energy, the Source of the
energy or the Energy itself. For there to be a creator or a source that is separate from the energy
would beg the question – what constitutes the creator/source if not the energy itself? The only
possible answer is that God is the source energy that everything, both seen and unseen, has emanated
from.
3. Quantum Physics shows us that our minds mould this energy around us into forms and experiences for
the purpose of emotional embrace and wisdom. It is we who create from our minds whether we are
conscious of this fact or not.
4. Everything evolves albeit very slowly in the case of Mankind. For something to evolve it has to be
in an imperfect state because if perfection were ever reached, nothing would exist in the next
moment. Evolution can only run off the engines of imperfection because how can something evolve if it
already perfect? The beauty of life is its imperfection and thus its constant ability to change form
and grow to be ever grander and grander – it’s never ending!
5. If the source energy were perfect there would be no evolution and clearly that is not how things
are. So it is imperfect and forever evolving. It is the ground you walk upon, the air you breathe,
the thoughts in your head and the body you wear. The dance of you and your god are it all…
The following is part of an email I sent recently:
God IS the THOUGHT (consciousness) that everything has been created from. We are both the thought as
energy (consciousness in motion) and the creators (in that we take from the thought that the Father
is and mould it with our minds to create our reality - consistent with the 'observer principle' of
quantum physics).
Now this may shed some light?
What we have created here is mainly the polarised (+/-) consciousness of the first 3 seals
(identifiable levels of conscious mind), which some people call the lower self and which is clearly
imperfect (but still made of the same stuff of God).
What we are striving for is the unpolarised consciousness of the upper 4 seals, which some people
call the higher self and which 'seems' to be perfect but is still potentially corruptible until we
reach the apex in consciousness (known as Christ consciousness).
So we created separation (to experience it) and now we're climbing back up the ladder to unite in the
'highest' but it's ALL God. God is both the ground we tread upon and the highest love we can be...
It is something that is forever expanding itself and we are a significant part of it.
